- To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Pink Yellow Blue Ball, the Flinders Foundation invited guests to Adelaide’s Greatest Gala — a bold, high-energy celebration for 900 attendees. Inspired by the joy and colour of children’s birthday parties (turned all the way up), the event blended pink, yellow and blue styling with a sophisticated gala setting, delivering a fresh and playful take on a much-loved fundraising event.
Colour, texture and surprise were at the heart of this gala. We transformed the space with a custom streamer chandelier by Bangin Hangins, finished with oversized mirrorballs as the jewel of the room. A dramatic balloon installation by It’s a Gas — featuring enormous 5.5-foot “cloud buster” balloons — created a striking gin bar backdrop, while colour-blocked table settings and matching menus brought cohesion and impact across the venue. Guests were treated to unexpected experiences throughout the night, including three champagne towers, a styled KIS Gin Bar, and a generous grazing table overflowing with local produce and nostalgic lollies. Breaking from tradition, the evening opened with a show-stopping performance by Matt Hetherington and dancers, setting the tone from the very first moment and ensuring the celebration began with a bang.
